Day 1

Washington, D.C. Arrival
Today you will arrive in beautiful Washington, D.C. Transfer
independently to your hotel by shuttle service or taxi.

St. Louis – Springfield
Driving distance: 210 mi./340 km.
Leave the Mississippi River behind and travel along Route 66
through the scenic beauty of the Missouri Ozark region
to Springfield.

Springfield – Tulsa – Oklahoma City
driving distance: 310 mi./520 km.
Nowhere is Route 66 more at home than in Oklahoma, where the
pavement follows the contours of the land as though it has always
been there. In the dust-bowl years of the 1930s, fifteen percent of
Oklahoma’s population started out on Route 66 in cars or caravans,

This section of your trip takes you through rolling countryside, once
