There are different room types available at this hotel.The Delta room consists of one queen bed. One bedroom suites can consist of two twins and one double sofa, or one king and one double sofa, or one queen and one double sofa. Two bedroom suites can consist of either one queen, two twins and one double sofa, or four twins and one double sofa, or one king, one queen and one double sofa bed. All suites include a fully equipped kitchen • a living room • washer/dryer and a fireplace. Rooms include TV • telephone • coffee maker and a hair-dryer.

This pretty resort village of around 10,000 residents is cradled in one of the most scenic spots on Canada's west coast.The Whistler and Blackcomb mountains beckon alluringly to crosscountry skiers and snowshoers.The icy surface of the frozen Green Lake seems purpose-made for ice-skating. And then there's heli-skiing. Whistler is a prime centre for this exciting activity with a superb choice of pristine deep-powder runs that are only accessible by helicopter. In December 2008, a new gondola called the Peak to Peak gondola is due to open and it will join Whistler and Blackcomb mountains in the alpine.

A free shuttle bus provides transportation from hotels to the ski lifts and runs over 10 to 12 minutes during the day.

Transfer time from Vancouver to Whistler is approx 2 hrs 30 mins.

Beginners ***
With two mountains to choose from, Whistler Blackcomb has plenty of terrain for beginner skiers or riders. Approximately 20% of the terrain on Whistler and 15% of the terrain on Blackcomb is rated for Beginners. Take a lesson with one of the specially trained ski pros who focus on individual attention to ease the learning curve.There is also a dedicated beginner zone, which allows beginners to learn how to ski and snowboard in a no- pressure zone environment.This is the place for quick improvement and a feeling that you're really getting somewhere fast.

Intermediate ****
With 55% of the terrain on each mountain rated intermediate, you will find plenty of runs to keep you occupied at Whistler Blackcomb. Explore freshly groomed corduroy runs. Ski or board into one of the twelve alpine bowls or in the newly crowned 'Symphony Amphitheatre' on Whistler. Named for its spectacular natural theatre, the region boasts vast open bowls, deep snow, gladed finales and unmatched views.

Advanced ***
With over 8171 acres of total skiable terrain and a one mile vertical rise, Whistler Blackcomb offers challenge and variety for the advanced skier or rider. Here you'll find everything from powder bowls, steep chutes, terrain parks, to half-pipes. Hike into Flute bowl for an inbounds backcountry experience, ski the challenging runs on Blackcomb glacier or head up Whistler's Peak chair to explore one of the powder bowls.

Apres Ski
Whistler has a good selection of bars and clubs. When eating out, a mid-range three-course meal in Whistler costs under €30 per person. For seafood lovers, head to the stylish Araxi restaurant. Alternatively you can enjoy a movie in the eight screen cinema complex. Bars and clubs are open to over 19's only and are all non-smoking.
