USA - New Hampshire Ski

About New Hampshire

New Hampshire offers the closest and most affordable skiing in the USA from Ireland. The six ski areas are just 2 hours’ drive North from Boston in the White Mountain National Forest, where all six ski areas are available on a single lift pass.

New Hampshire is synonymous with great customer service, value for money, high quality accommodation and everything from fast food to gourmet meals.

The region offers stunning scenery and lots of alternatives to skiing, including tax-free shopping, tubing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and ice skating! The 6 Ski Areas offer 25% Novice, 50% Intermediate and 25% advanced terrain as well as almost 100% snow making – guaranteed snow! New Hampshire is a must-visit family destination within easy reach of Ireland.

Après Ski
The choice is endless with various options available on each mountain. The atmosphere is generally casual and laid back. All tastes and budgets are catered forin the local restaurants. In Lincoln a visit to the Open Steak House at Wooodwards Inn is a must while in North Conway Brandli's Pizza Pasta Grill offers hearty Italian cuisine.

Beginner

**** All of the ski areas offer excellent beginner terrain and English speaking Ski Schools. Loon Mountain and Waterville Valley offer a wide variety of novice and intermediate cruising terrain while Cranmore in North Conway is known as the "Learn to Ski Mountain."

Intermediate
**** Almost 50% of the terrain in New Hampshire is intermediate. Bretton Woods has miles of wide, forgiving trails – everyone skis like Bode Miller here! Wildcat too has some great terrain such as Polecat, Upper Catapult and Middle Wildcat providing long cruising trails, as does Cannon Mountain, Loon, Waterville Valley, Cannon and Cranmore all have lots of varied and undulating trails to suit every ability level.

Advanced
**  Wildcat tests with Top Cat, Lift Lion, Black Cat and Starr Line, while Cannon has the demanding Skylight, Upper and Lower Hardscrabble, Profile, Tramway and Vista View and many more. Bretton Woods has Bode’s Run and lots of demanding skiing in Rosebrook Canyon Glades. Try out True Grit and The Boneyard at Waterville Valley and don’t miss Walking Boss, Triple Trouble and Flume at Loon Mountain. All of the New Hampshire ski areas have great Glade Skiing to test the most avid adventurer.

Snowboarding
**  New Hampshire is an excellent place for beginners. The wide rolling terrain at Loon and Bretton Woods is great for practising skills and makes progression rapid. Cranmore has three great Terrain Parks and Halfpipes while Loon has five Terrain Parks, Pipes, Rails and Snowskate Parks and is voted in the Top 10 USA parks.
