Located on the West Coast of St. Lucia, a mere 3 miles from the capital city, Castries and about 25 miles from Hewanorra International Airport, Almond Morgan Bay is the first new destination outside of the Almond Resort's group's home in Barbados. Almond Morgan Bay was entirely renovated late 2005; its open-air, columned lobby welcomes couples, singles, and families with a wide view of the ocean. The grounds feature lighted pathways that meander through gardens, and recreational areas that include lagoon pools and tennis courts. The all-inclusive Almond Resorts concept, For You. About You., allows guests the use of kayaks, snorkeling gear, windsurfers, and sailboats. Water skiing, banana boat rides, and reef fishing are also complimentary. On land, a range of workout classes and personal training are available in the fitness center. Guests can play tennis on any of four lighted courts or enjoy three rounds of golf at St. Lucia Golf & Country Club's 18-hole course 2.5 km (1.5 miles away) for every seven nights stayed. Green fees (limited to one round per day per guest) are complimentary, but surcharges apply for transportation to and from the course, cart and equipment rental, and fees and tips for caddies. Customer Review: Having lived in the Caribbean for over 9 years and been a hotelier in the Grenadines, I had no hesitation in arranged one weeks accommodation at Almond Morgan Bay Resort for my son, daughter in law, three granddaughters aged 4, 6, and 9, and myself . Almond Morgan Bay lived up to my expectations, and we all had a most enjoyable week. The staff were absolutely superb and nothing was too much trouble for them. We ate at all four restaurants, and the food and the service were excellent. My granddaughters spent quality time at the Kid's Club and really enjoyed this, but the highlight for them was a trip from the Resort on Joy's boat to visit the volcano, snorkel under the Pitons, and have a beach barbecue. We recently visited Puerto Rico, St Maarten, Anguilla, and St Thomas in the U.S.Virgin Islands, but our visit to St Lucia was voted by all as the best due to the excellence of everything at Almond Morgan Bay Resort. |
