Itinerary
Day 1 FLIGHT TO TEL AVIV
Depart for Tel Aviv. During the flight enjoy the in-flight service including meals, bar service and the latest feature films.
Day 2 TEL AVIV
Early morning arrival where you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem. Remainder of the day at leisure before you meet your guide for an evening drink.
Day 3 NEW CITY OF JERUSALEM
After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, visiting highlights such as the Yad Vashem, Israel Museum and the Shrine of the book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed. The remainder of the evening is at leisure.
Day 4 MOUNT ZION - THE OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM
Today visit the Tomb of King David before continuing on to the Old City of Jerusalem. Walk through the newly restored Jewish Quarter to the Western Wall to see the ornate Dome of the Rock. In the afternoon, follow the Stations of the Cross along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre before stopping at Mount Scopus and the Mount of Olives for a magnificent view of the Old City.
Day 5 JERUSALEM
Enjoy a full day at leisure in this fascinating city.
Day 6 JERUSALEM – DEAD SEA – MASSADA – KIBBUTZ
Travel through the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea, passing Qumran to view the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Massada to ascend by cable car to tour the ancient fortress where the Zealots made their last stand against the Romans. Next explore the excavations of Herod's Palace. Travel to Kibbutz for an evening at leisure.
Day 7 KIBBUTZ – TIBERIAS – NAZARETH – MEGGIDO – K
We begin the day with views of the sea of Galilee from the former Syrian bunkers on the golan Heights. Then continue to Capernaum, the old town of Jesus and on to Tiberias. Next to Nazareth to visit the church of the Annunciation and finally to Meggido to see the excavations of Soloman’s Stables before returning to the Kibbutz for dinner.
Day 8 KIBBUTZ – TZFAT – ACRE – HAIFA – CAESAREA –
Today you will visit the ancient synagogue and Artists' colony in Tzfat. Travel to Acre to visit the Crypt of St. John, then to Haifa to admire the breathtaking views of the Bahai Shrine. From there we visit the exotic Persian Gardens before heading to Caesarea to view the Roman statues.
Day 9 TEL AVIV
After breakfast this morning, enjoy a full day at leisure to explore this vibrant and exciting city.
Day 10 FLIGHT HOME
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
