My recent stay was extremely pleasant....The one bedroom accomodation was large, modern, clean, and replete with details that I would never have expected. The front desk personnel were polite and helpful, and the small gallery in the lobby was a nice touch. The neighborhood was much quieter than midtown, with a lovely park just a few blocks away. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

How to get from the airport to the city centre?

From JFK Airport:

Taxis are available outside terminal Arrivals areas. Journey time to midtown Manhattan around 60 minutes.
Fare: To Manhattan $30 fixed rate plus tolls.

A frequent bus service connects with the New York City Transit Authority Howard Beach Subway station. The 'A' train takes around 90 minutes to Manhattan.
